eTwinning Ethics and Rules

  Rules all eTwinning users should follow
  eTwinning has established some rules that must be followed by all users to make it easier to understand what is permitted and not permitted on the platform.
  1- eTwinning cannot be used for commercial purposes.
  The use of the platform for commercial purposes is prohibited.any company, entrepreneur, event or commercial software will be removed and access to the platform will be blocked.
  2- There can be no threat, bullying or harassment.
  eTwinning doesn't tolerate cyberbullying and harassment – if you're a victim of cyberbullying or when someone is using one of the eTwinning sites (public and private areas), he's threatening you , please report this and contact your national support service. Anyone who is cyberbullying or harassing other members of the platform can be permanently barred from eTwinning.
  3-Intellectual Property
  Make sure that content you upload to the platform does not infringe any copyright. Please make sure you have done this before sharing any pictures, videos, documents or other sources. The eTwinning Platform cannot host videos, you must first upload your video to YouTube, Dailymotion or Vimeo and paste the corresponding link into eTwinning. Don't forget to check out the copyright policies as well.
  4-Identity Theft

  5-) Students
  ETwinning takes students' privacy and security seriously. Avoid publishing student photos in your eTwinning Live profile, TwinSpace, and similar groups. When you need to publish, make sure you have received parents' permission and that students are not recognizable.
  6-) Special information and sensitive data
  Be careful when posting content that is relevant to others. You should not share personal phone numbers and addresses, credit card information, or other private information.
  Internet Ethics
  ETwinning users should conduct their online interactions with respect, as they do with their professional, polite and real-life interactions. Below are some examples of what users should and should not do.
  1- Handle the internal messaging system with care and responsibility:
  Do not send too many messages to teachers that you are not working with. Check their profile before contacting a user. Check to see if it indicates it is suitable for project delivery. Do not send the same message to many users.
  2- Avoid spamming in forums:
  Thousands of messages are sent from the eTwinning Live partner forums. Make sure your message is related to the topic of the title. Help us conduct forums in a way that is relevant to improve collaboration.
  3-Only post relevant and relevant comments from other users:
  When posting a comment on someone else's profile, make sure that the comment is appropriate for the user. Comments should be for individuals and should be related to the user's message.
  4-Avoid sending random communication requests and inviting projects:
  Avoid asking eTwinning users to have contacts or participate in their project without prior contact.make sure your list has a logical and manageable number of contacts.would you like to track the updates of others? Follow them instead.
  5-Invite the event based on the audience:
  If you are not sure that these colleagues can participate, avoid inviting your contacts to the events you have edited. Random invitations to events organized at your school are considered spam.
  Violation of code of conduct:
  What can you do if you think an eTwinning user does not comply with the Code of Conduct?
  In the Support Community, we do our best to protect people from abuse and spam in eTwinning. But we rely on you to help us maintain a positive attitude as active and pluralism and reduce unwanted incidents
  If you encounter posts, events, or comments in blogs and forums that appear offensive, infringing or inappropriate, receive a private message or see any such content, the 'Report' button may be used. You can also contact your support service and share your reporting reasons.
  What if one user does not respect the Code of Conduct?
  Failure to comply with the rules set out under these code of conduct constitutes a breach of the terms and may result in a temporary or permanent removal of any uploads or materials uploaded by eTwinning users at any time without prior notice. In such cases, owners of the relevant materials and support services will be notified and the reasons for removal will be explained. Users who do not comply with the code of conduct may be temporarily or permanently barred from eTwining .
     
  In the event of a dispute, a final decision will be taken by the European Commission, which is responsible for the functioning of eTwinning
