Honorary Fellowship in College of Family Practice in 1993 for speaking about humour.
Had a special interest in pediatrics and palliative care.
Attended 7 international conferences on Laughter and Play.
Married for 57 years with 3 children and 9 grandchildren which makes him a frequent spectator.
Past interests include basketball, hockey and slow-pitch baseball.
Present interests include canoeing with several high Arctic white water trips, reading and playing bridge.
Recently moved to the small town life of New Hamburg.
