The EZ Ride's Bike and Pedestrian Team also helped the Dairy Queen on multiples Bike and Helmets Giveaway events in collaboration with different organization in the City of Plainfield.
Dairy Queen started their Bike giveaway on March 31, by supporting and giving away 25 bikes to families with adopted children.
On April 27, Dairy Queen gave away over 125 bikes. Dairy Queen thanked all their supporters: The Coffee Box, The Bike Stand, Jay’s Cycle Center, Trek Bicycles, Safe Routes to School, Union County Public Safety, Plainfield Fire Department, The NJ Sharing Network and all the volunteers!
On August 24, over 120 people received a bike, a new helmet and bike safety information A great collaboration with the Dairy Queen Plainfield, Union County Police, the Plainfield Recreation Department and wonderful volunteers to promote bicycling and physical activity
On November 30, EZ Ride's Bike and Pedestrian Team helped the Dairy Queen to give-away 100 bikes. The Union County Public Safety Division donated the helmets for those who received the bikes. EZ Ride helped to fit and give away the helmets. The Coffee Box provided free hot chocolate and coffee.
This was a great collaboration between Dairy Queen, EZ Ride, the Union County Public Safety Division, the Plainfield Police and Fire Department, The Bike Stand, Jay's Cycle Center and all the amazing volunteers.
These bikes are donated by different organizations and community members. This is a great community effort promoting physical activity and safety information to the Plainfield Community.
The Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Travel Toolkit is a resource that provides directions for schools, students, families and the city to build a safer walking and biking environment, both in regards to road safety and Covid-19 safety.
