Give Kids A Smile

On Friday February 7th, the Neighborhood Health Services held its annual Give Kids a Smile event which is a nationwide event sponsored by the American Dental Association. There were glitter tattoos, a reading area with books which the kids could take, a coloring area, arts and crafts area to make Valentine's Day cards and lots of healthy fruits and snacks. There were about 100 kids seen for the event and 12 volunteers throughout the day. It was a day with lots of fun and smiles. The Neighborhood Health Services is grateful for all the volunteers and additional sponsors for the event and look forward to doing it all over again next year.

GIVE KIDS A SMILE (DARLE UNA SONRISA A LOS NIÑOS)

El viernes 7 de febrero, los Servicios de Salud del Vecindario celebraron su evento anual «Darle una Sonrisa a los Niños», un evento nacional patrocinado por la Asociación Dental Americana. Había tatuajes de purpurina, un área de lectura con libros que los niños podían llevar a casa, un área de colorear, artes y artesanías para hacer tarjetas de San Valentín y muchas frutas y meriendas saludables. Hubo unos 100 niños para el evento y 12 voluntarios durante todo el día. Fue un día con mucha diversión y sonrisas. Los Servicios de Salud del Vecindario agradecen a todos los voluntarios y patrocinadores adicionales por el evento y esperan hacerlo de nuevo el próximo año.
