Institut Francesc Macià is a public school where study around 600 students between 12 and 16 years old. The school is situated in the Catalan region of 'El Baix Llobregat', a highly populated area in the vicinity of Barcelona, in the city of Cornellà. It's one of the five secondary schools in town and it's only fifteen minutes away from the centre of Barcelona. We are a multidisciplinary secondary school where both arts and science can be studied. Over the last years and up to date , teachers and students have received several awards which are significant at regional and national level. The school also takes part in international competitions and programmes and it offers a lot of extracurricular activities.

Most of the students in our school belong to lower middle class families and there is a low immigration rate. The school aims to take part in projects and initiatives of all kinds, the teaching staff is open and hardworking and so are the students.

The school has participated before in other international projects related to hiking and outdoor activities , and multidisciplinar subjects, with countries of Europe and with english as a main language (exchanges, eTwinning, virtual projects, Comenius partnerships, Erasmus plus K1 etc.). In fact, the school takes part in several educational projects and competitions every year.

The school has a team of qualified teachers/coordinators to develop European projects with high competences. All of them have experience with internationalisation and intercultural experiences in exchanges and projects with European partners.

A lot of teachers are willing to participate in the activities of this project. Through this project, we would like to increase students' interest in english language, in European conscience and make them responsible for their own education , healthy habits and knowledge. Our school will be a partner in this project and will organize one project meeting during which the families will host foreign students. Moreover, our task is coordinate all the project and to do all the activities according to the planned​.
