What are clinical trials?

Scientists often do extensive research and testing when they are developing a medical drug or treatment. Before releasing the treatment to everyone, they test it in a smaller population. Thus, clinical trials are studies done to test a novel medical treatment before releasing it to the larger population.

This app contains a recommendation system that will give you personalized recommendations based on the information you put into your profile. Additionally, users can save trials for easy access and filter through a larger database of trials. There is also a lack of diversity in clinical trials, since many minority groups are not informed about these innovative treatments. This app provides access to these groups in hopes of increasing diversity in trials. Increase diversity in trials gives researchers a more comprehensive idea of how the population will respond to a treatment. The knowledge they gain can be applied to everyone, not just certain groups.
