OUR STORY
Ansley Fraundorf was a pre-medical student at the University of Georgia when she noticed a prominent issue in the Athens community.During her time as a pharmacy technician, she learned that many people could not afford basic prescription medications or their over-the-counter alternatives.Wanting to establish change in the city, she founded Health for Homeless as a way to provide the underserved with the healthcare they deserve.
WHAT DOES 501(C)(3) STATUS MEAN?
Our mission is recognized by the government and we meet the requirements to be accepted as a federally tax-exempt nonprofit.
If you donate to our organization, you may include it when filing your taxes. You can adjust your gross income based on your donation to decrease the amount of taxes you pay.
WHY ATHENS, GA?
Athens, GA has one of the largest homeless populations in the United States. Athens is home to all of us that attend the University of Georgia, and we strive to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
