Health Tracker is primarily offline application that lets user optionally sign in for backup retention.
Data We Collect when user signs in
Email and Name - For backup identification purpose. This also enforces ownership of backup.
Health Backup - Health Backup is optional feature available to signed in users. A signed in user can disable backup any time but it isn't recommended. The backup is securely stored in aws s3 bucket with download and upload urls issued for the respective user only. The backup isn't analyzed or seen by our server. The backup isn't encrypted but secured via other mechanisms. All the data is securely transfered using TLS.
Device Name - For backup identification purpose.
Data We Share to 3rd Party Advertisers
Device ID - It is a unique identifier given to any device. Health Tracker shares this to 3rd party advertising providers like Admob and other. These platforms use the device id to deliver personalized advertisement to the users. The device id isn't linked with your health data. And your health data isn't shared to advertisers. Device ID is collected and shared even if user doesn't sign in with their email.
Although care has been taken to ensure data integrity. The creator of the application is not responsible for any sort of data loss caused by backup failure or by accidental uninstalling/deletion of the app or by any other means.
