Meet the Team

Kay attended Cardiff Institute for Podiatry from 1990-1993 where she gained a degree in podiatry. She moved to Somerset and for three years worked in Private practice in Taunton. She then took the post as Diabetes Specialist Podiatrist for Somerset at Musgrove Park Hospital in 1996. As part of that role she taught undergraduate doctors, GPs, university students and many healthcare professionals across Somerset. She gained her Certificate of Education from Tiverton College to help her with this. As part of her role as diabetes specialist she took further study in wound care and got her post-graduate diploma from Cardiff University in 2010.

Kay bought the practice in Wiveliscombe in 2009 and ran it concurrently with her NHS work until 2014 when she chose to leave the NHS and concentrate on the private practice. She works on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and alternate Saturdays.

Ian Phillips works at the practice on alternate Fridays. Ian grew up locally and was educated at Huish Grammar School and Sixth Form College. He is a highly experienced practitioner, having qualified as a podiatrist in South Glamorgan in 1986, later gaining a BSc in podiatric medicine in 1994. He has worked as a Senior Chiropodist in the NHS and more recently in private practice.
