Effective Date: August 4, 2026
1.Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Video Hub-Video Downloader (the “App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) accesses, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the App.
Video Hub-Video Downloader provides tools that allow users to process supported media links, download permitted videos or images, view and manage downloaded files on their devices,
and optionally use the App as an Android home-screen launcher. Some versions of the App may be supported by advertising and may include analytics, crash-reporting, attribution, and notification services.
This Privacy Policy applies only to Video Hub-Video Downloader. It does not apply to websites, social-media platforms, advertisements, or other third-party services that may be accessed through the App. Where consent is required by law or Google Play policy, we request it separately through an in-app notice or the applicable Android system prompt.
2.Information We Process
2.1 Media Links and Download Requests
When you paste, type, or share a media link with the App, the App processes that link to locate and retrieve media made available by the relevant source. The link and related technical request information may be transmitted to the source website, its content-delivery network, or technical infrastructure used by the App to complete the requested download.
We use this information only to provide the download requested by you, maintain download history where that feature is enabled, troubleshoot failures, and protect the App from abuse. We do not use the contents of your downloaded videos or images to create advertising profiles.
2.2 Downloaded Videos, Images, and File Information
Media downloaded through the App is normally stored locally on your device in a location selected or permitted by Android. The App may process basic file information, such as the file name, format, size, thumbnail, save location, and download status, so that you can view, play, organize, delete, or share the file.
We do not upload your locally stored videos or images to our servers unless you deliberately select a feature that clearly requires an upload. Sharing a file through Android’s share menu sends it only to the app or recipient that you choose.
2.3 Clipboard Information
If you choose a “Paste Link” or similar feature, the App reads the clipboard only in response to that user action and only to identify a supported URL. The App does not use clipboard content for advertising, profiling, or unrelated background monitoring. A processed URL may remain in a local, user-visible download history until you remove it or clear the App’s data.
2.4 Installed-App Information Used by the Launcher
If you enable the launcher feature, Video Hub-Video Downloader accesses limited information about launchable apps installed on your device, including an app’s name, icon, package name, and launchable activity. This access is necessary to display the app drawer, search for apps, create shortcuts, arrange home-screen items, and open the app that you select.
Installed-app information is treated as sensitive data. It is processed locally on your device and is not sold, used to build advertising profiles, or shared with advertising or analytics providers. Launcher layout, folders, shortcuts, and preferences are also stored locally unless a separate backup feature is offered and clearly disclosed to you.
2.5 Optional Third-Party Account Sessions
Video Hub-Video Downloader does not ask you to provide social-media passwords directly to us. If a supported feature opens a third-party sign-in page, authentication occurs through that third party’s interface and is governed by its privacy policy and terms. The third party may place session cookies or tokens in the App’s browser component so that the requested feature can work. These session items are generally stored locally and can be removed by signing out, clearing the App’s storage, or uninstalling the App.
You should not provide account credentials to any screen that does not clearly belong to the relevant third-party service. The App does not claim ownership of or independent access to your third-party account.
If you contact us, we may receive your email address, the content of your message, screenshots or attachments you choose to send, and technical details you voluntarily provide. We use this information to respond to your request, diagnose problems, and maintain appropriate support records.
Subject to your device settings and any required consent, third-party SDKs used by the App may process:
Device and app information, such as device model, manufacturer, operating-system version, App version, language, time zone, and screen characteristics;
Device or other identifiers, such as the Android advertising ID, app-instance ID, installation ID, notification token, or similar identifiers;
Network and approximate location information, such as IP address, mobile carrier, connection type, and country or general region inferred from an IP address;
App activity, such as App launches, screens viewed, feature interactions, download success or failure events, ad impressions, ad clicks, and notification engagement;
Diagnostics and performance information, such as crash logs, error reports, response times, memory use, and other technical data; and
Attribution information used to understand which advertising campaign or referral source led to an installation.
We do not require precise GPS location, contacts, call logs, SMS messages, microphone recordings, or camera images for the App’s video-download or launcher functions.
3.Android Permissions and Sensitive Access
The permissions available in a particular release may vary by Android version and by the features you use. Video Hub-Video Downloader may request the following access:
Internet access is required to process links, download media, load online content, deliver ads, receive configuration updates, and communicate with service providers. Network-state access helps the App determine whether a connection is available and manage download failures.
The App uses Android’s scoped-storage, MediaStore, Storage Access Framework, or system picker features where available to save downloaded media and let you select or manage files. On older Android versions, legacy storage permission may be requested only when necessary to save or access files.
The App does not use media access to scan unrelated personal files. If broad photo or video access is included in a release, it is used only when ongoing access is genuinely required for the App’s user-facing media gallery or file-management function. Where a system picker can provide the requested function, the App should use the picker instead of requesting access to the user’s entire media library.
With your permission, the App may send notifications about download progress, completion, errors, security or service messages, feature updates, and—where separately permitted—optional promotional content. You can disable notifications at any time in Android Settings.
The launcher needs visibility into launchable apps so it can display and open them from the home screen and app drawer. Any package-visibility access is limited to this core launcher purpose. Installed-app information is not transferred to our servers and is not used for advertising or analytics.
Android may allow the App to run an active download as a foreground service or temporarily keep the device awake so that a user-requested download can finish. These technical capabilities do not give the App access to additional personal files or communications.
You can deny or revoke optional permissions in Android Settings. If you deny access, the related feature may be unavailable or may operate in a limited way, but the App will not prevent you from changing your decision later.
4.Launcher and Default Home-App Disclosure
Video Hub-Video Downloader becomes your default home-screen launcher only after you deliberately choose it through Android’s standard system selection screen. Enabling the launcher may change the appearance and behavior of your home screen and may allow the App to display installed apps, shortcuts, widgets, folders, and App-provided content.
The App does not permanently modify Android, uninstall other apps, or prevent you from restoring another launcher. You may change the default launcher at any time through Android Settings > Apps > Default apps > Home app (the exact path may vary by device). You may also uninstall Video Hub-Video Downloader through Android Settings or Google Play. After you switch away from or uninstall the App, locally stored launcher layouts and preferences may be deleted.
5.How We Use Information
We process information for the following purposes:
To provide link processing, media downloading, playback, file management, and sharing functions requested by you;
To provide the launcher home screen, app drawer, search, shortcuts, and layout preferences;
To save your settings and maintain local download history;
To operate the App, diagnose errors, prevent abuse, and improve performance and reliability;
To provide support and respond to questions or privacy requests;
To display, personalize where permitted, limit, and measure advertisements;
To measure installs, campaign performance, and aggregated feature usage;
To deliver notifications that you have allowed;
To comply with applicable law, enforce our terms, and protect users, the public, our rights, and the security of the App.
6.Third-Party Services
Video Hub-Video Downloader may use the services listed below. These providers may process data under their own privacy policies when their SDKs are present in the release you use:
Google Play services — Android platform functions and service delivery: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Google AdMob — advertising, ad delivery, fraud prevention, frequency control, and measurement: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads
Google Firebase Analytics — App usage measurement and performance insights: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
Google Firebase Crashlytics — crash diagnostics and stability monitoring: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
OneSignal — notification delivery and notification engagement measurement: https://onesignal.com/privacy_policy
Singular — installation attribution, campaign measurement, and fraud prevention: https://www.singular.net/privacy-policy/
Advertising providers may use the advertising ID, IP address, device information, approximate location, and ad interaction data to deliver and measure ads, subject to applicable consent and device controls. Mediation may cause an ad request to be handled by an advertising partner configured in the App. Where legally required, the App presents a consent choice before personalized advertising or similar processing begins.
Third-party websites and social platforms have their own terms and privacy practices. We do not control how those services process information when you visit them, sign in, request media, or interact with their content.
7.When Information May Be Shared
We may disclose information only in the following circumstances:
Service providers: To providers that support advertising, analytics, crash reporting, attribution, notifications, hosting, security, or technical delivery, as described above;
At your direction: When you choose to share a downloaded file, open a third-party link, sign in to a third-party service, or otherwise direct the App to send information;
Legal and safety reasons: When reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid legal process, investigate fraud or abuse, enforce our rights, or protect the safety and security of users or the public;
Business changes: In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or transfer of assets, subject to appropriate legal safeguards and notice where required.
We do not sell personal information for money. Some advertising or measurement activities may be treated as a “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising under certain privacy laws even when no money is exchanged for the data. Where those laws apply, we provide the required consent or opt-out choices.
8.Legal Bases for Processing
Where the GDPR, UK GDPR, LGPD, or similar laws apply, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:
Performance of a service: To carry out a download, operate the launcher, save your choices, or provide another feature you request;
Consent: For optional permissions, personalized advertising, notifications, or other processing where consent is required;
Legitimate interests: To secure, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the App, measure non-sensitive performance, and prevent fraud, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights;
Legal obligations and rights: To comply with law, respond to lawful requests, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
You may withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before consent was withdrawn.
9.Your Choices and Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or a copy of your personal information; object to certain processing; withdraw consent; or opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or sharing as defined by applicable law.
You can also control data directly by:
Managing App permissions and notifications in Android Settings;
Choosing non-personalized advertising or changing consent choices through an in-App privacy-options screen, where available;
Resetting or deleting your device advertising ID through Android privacy settings;
Deleting individual downloads or local history within the App;
Clearing the App’s storage or uninstalling the App to remove locally stored settings, media references, cookies, and launcher data; and
Contacting us at howardgeorge198810@gmail.com with a privacy or deletion request.
Because the App does not create a separate Video Hub-Video Downloader account unless explicitly stated in the App, there may be no account record for us to delete. We may need to verify a request before acting on it, and we may retain information when required by law or necessary for security, fraud prevention, or legal claims. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
10.Data Retention
Downloaded media, download history, launcher layouts, preferences, cookies, and similar local data remain on your device until you delete them, clear App storage, sign out where applicable, or uninstall the App.
Support communications are kept only as long as reasonably necessary to answer the request, maintain support records, and meet legal obligations.
Technical, advertising, analytics, attribution, and crash data are retained according to the settings and retention practices of the applicable service provider and only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy.
If we receive information that is no longer needed, we delete it, anonymize it, or securely isolate it unless a longer period is legally required.
11.Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information, including access controls and encrypted network transmission where supported. No application, network, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your device, accounts, and any media you choose to download or share.
12.International Data Transfers
Our service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we use or rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as contractual protections, adequacy decisions, or your valid consent.
13.Children’s Privacy
Video Hub-Video Downloader is not directed to children under 13, or under the higher minimum age required in a user’s country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information to us, contacthowardgeorge198810@gmail.com. so that we can investigate and take appropriate action.
14.Copyright, Authorized Use, and Third-Party Platforms

You may download only content that you own, content for which you have obtained permission, or content that applicable law otherwise permits you to save. You must respect copyrights, privacy rights, access restrictions, platform terms, and other legal rights. We are not responsible for unauthorized downloading, copying, reposting, sale, or distribution performed by users.
Copyright owners may send a properly supported notice to howardgeorge198810@gmail.com. We will review valid notices and take appropriate action in accordance with applicable law.
15.Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the App, legal requirements, or service providers. We will post the revised Policy at the same public URL and update the Effective Date. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide additional notice or request consent where required.
