This Privacy Policy describes how Hdevs PDF Editor (“the App”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use the Android application with package name com.hdevsspdfeditor.app.
1. Summary
The App is designed to process PDF and image files on your device. We do not require an account. We do not operate a cloud service for your documents. We do not sell personal data. We do not include advertising or analytics SDKs in this application.
2. Information we do not collect
We do not collect, upload, or transmit:
Your PDF files, images, or document contents
Passwords you enter to lock or unlock a PDF
Names, email addresses, or account credentials for app login (the App has no login)
Location, contacts, or advertising identifiers
Analytics, crash-reporting, or tracking data through third-party SDKs
3. Information stored only on your device
The following may be stored locally in the App’s private storage or cache:
Copies of files you open or generate, so tools can edit them
Page thumbnails for recent files
A recent-files list (name, size, last opened time, and a file reference)
App settings such as theme, default viewer fit mode, recent-file limits, and an optional folder you choose to index
Temporary working files created by tools such as merge, split, compress, convert, crop, annotate, watermark, and security features
These items stay on the device unless you choose to share, save, or send them using Android system sharing or a document picker.
4. Files and storage access
The App uses Android’s Storage Access Framework and the system photo/document pickers. You choose which files or folders the App may access. The App does not request all-files (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE) permission.
If you grant access to a folder for “All PDF Files”, the App may list PDF names in that folder on the device. That listing is not uploaded.
When you share or save a file, Android and the destination app (for example email, Drive, or Files) handle that action according to their own policies.
5. Permissions
The App is built to work with the minimum access needed for picking, viewing, editing, saving, and sharing documents you select. It does not use background services to scan your device.
6. Support email
If you contact support from Settings, your device email app sends the message. We only receive what you choose to include in that email. That communication is not processed inside the App.
7. Children
The App is a general-purpose PDF utility and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Data retention and your controls
Local working files and recents remain until you delete them or clear them in Settings:
Clear recent files
Clear working files and cache
Uninstalling the App removes its private storage.
9. Security
Password-protected PDFs are handled on the device. The App will not attempt to bypass an unknown password. You are responsible for keeping passwords and exported files secure.
10. Third parties
The App may open system or third-party apps when you share a file, rate the App, or send support email. Those services are outside this policy.
11. Changes
We may update this policy if the App’s behavior changes. The updated date will appear at the top of this document and in the App.
