Every Ween Comes with Challenges The community’s excitement was palpable throughout the week, with I-remember-when moments and buns of new memories created. People were thrilled to see the Wienermobile up close and eager to contribute to the food drive, making it a heartwarming experience for everyone involved.
A particular challenge about Maine is due to its small-town feel; there were not so many media outlets to interview with. However, we used the small town to our advantage by spreading the word through word of mouth. How we did this was one of our favorite parts of the week: Oscar Mayer Restaurant Tour. Not only did people get to enjoy their love of meats, but this was a way for the Wienermobile to be constantly talked about throughout the whole week. Each event contact also easily spread the word locally as there were not that many people they needed to share with. We utilized the power of a small town.
There was not a lot of events happening while we were in town so it was not an easy plug and play attending events. We were shocked to learn from the businesses and events that were happening that they declined the Wienermobile’s attendance. It was up to us to create our events, but we think that is what made our week so much fun and special. We were able to truly make it our own.
Through every event, the East Team showcased the power of community, creativity, and a shared love for Oscar Mayer, leaving a lasting impact on Portland, Maine. All in all, we believe these challenges pushed us harder to be more creative and spark the most smiles across America.
