Privacy Policy
Last Updated: April 19, 2026
Introduction and Scope
Welcome to HD Camera, a high-definition camera app developed by Warp Softwares for taking photos, recording videos, using zoom, applying filters, and accessing professional capture tools.
This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our Android app. We do not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use the core features of the app. Any data recovery or media operations happen locally on your device.
We are committed to being transparent about the limited data practices in the app while complying with applicable laws, including GDPR (for EU users), CCPA/CPRA (for California residents), and CalOPPA.
Information We Collect
We do not collect any personal data that directly identifies you, such as your name, email address, or phone number. The app processes photos, videos, and related media locally on your device.
We may collect anonymous, non-personal technical information through third-party services to improve app performance, fix crashes, and understand feature usage. This includes unidentified app usage data and crash reports that do not personally identify you. No personal data leaves your device through our application for storage or sharing by us.
Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR)
For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), we rely on the following legal bases where any limited processing occurs:
Legitimate interests: To improve app stability, performance, and user experience through anonymous analytics and crash reporting.
Consent: Where required, such as for certain permissions (e.g., camera or location) that you grant through your device settings. You can withdraw consent at any time by changing device permissions.
Contractual necessity: To provide the core camera functions you request when using the app.
Permissions We Use in Our App and Why
The app requests certain Android permissions only when needed for specific features. You can manage or revoke these permissions anytime in your device settings. Here is a detailed explanation:
Camera Permission (android.permission.CAMERA) and Camera Feature (android.hardware.camera.any): Required to access your device’s camera for capturing photos and recording videos. The app will not function without this.
Microphone Permission (android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO): Needed to record audio during video capture and for voice-activated photo features (using voice commands to snap photos).
Read Media Images (android.permission.READ_MEDIA_IMAGES) and Read Media Videos (android.permission.READ_MEDIA_VIDEO): Allow the app to access your existing photos and videos on Android 13 and above, for viewing or managing media within the app.
Read External Storage (android.permission.READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE) (for devices below Android 13) and Write External Storage (android.permission.WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE) (for older Android versions up to 28): Enable reading from and saving media files to shared storage.
Notification Permission (android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Used to send alerts, reminders, or important app updates.
Fine Location (android.permission.ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION) and Coarse Location (android.permission.ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION): Provide precise or approximate location for features that may tag photos with location data or offer location-based enhancements. Location data is handled locally where possible.
Access Network State (android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE): Checks network connectivity to support features like syncing (if applicable) or avoiding actions when offline.
Vibrate Permission (android.permission.VIBRATE): Triggers device vibration for user feedback, alerts, or haptic responses during capture.
These permissions are requested only for the described purposes and are not used beyond what is necessary for the app’s functionality.
Data Storage and Security
All photos, videos, and media you capture or edit stay on your device and are processed locally. We do not store your personal media on our servers.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited anonymous data that may be processed (such as crash reports). However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security against all risks.
Third-Party Libraries & SDKs Used in Our App
We use the following third-party libraries and SDKs to provide features and improve the app. Each serves a specific technical purpose:
Firebase (including Analytics, Firestore, Crashlytics, Performance Monitoring, and Messaging): Helps collect anonymous usage data and crash reports to improve performance and stability. It also supports real-time data syncing where needed and sends notifications. Firebase services are provided by Google. Learn more in the Firebase Privacy and Security page and Google Privacy Policy.
SDP (com.intuit.sdp:sdp-android:1.1.1) and SSP (com.intuit.ssp:ssp-android:1.1.1): These libraries help create a responsive user interface that adapts to different screen sizes and densities. They do not collect or transmit personal data.
Koin: A dependency injection framework that simplifies code structure and object management within the app. It operates entirely locally.
Glide: Used to efficiently load and display images and media inside the app. It processes media locally. More details on Glide can be found on its official repository (no separate privacy policy as it is an open-source image loading library with no data collection).
Vosk (com.alphacephei:vosk-android): Enables offline voice recognition for voice-activated photo capture. Processing happens locally on your device. Visit Alphacephei Vosk for more information.
Lottie (com.airbnb.android:lottie:6.7.1): Displays smooth animations, such as on the splash screen or UI elements. It is local and does not collect data.
ExifInterface (androidx.exifinterface:exifinterface:1.3.6): Allows reading and writing image metadata (like orientation, location tags, or camera details) to correctly display and manage photos. Data remains on your device.
Google Play Services Location: Supports location features where permitted. Governed by Google Privacy Policy.
Other AndroidX and core libraries: Standard tools for building the app, with no additional data collection.
Advertising, Analytics, and Tracking Technologies
The app shows ads through AdMob, AdX, and Facebook (Meta) Audience Network. These services may collect device information, advertising identifiers, and usage data to show relevant ads.
For Google ads: See Google Advertising Policies and Google Privacy Policy.
For Meta ads: See the Meta Privacy Policy.
We use Firebase Analytics for anonymous insights into feature usage and crashes. This data does not identify you personally.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
Mobile apps do not use traditional website cookies. However, advertising and analytics services may use similar technologies like advertising IDs or device identifiers. You can limit these through your device settings (e.g., reset advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads).
Detailed Information on the Processing of Your Personal Data
We process very limited anonymous or technical data (e.g., crash logs, feature engagement stats) solely to maintain and improve the app. Media files (photos/videos) are never sent to us or third parties by the app itself. Location data, if used for tagging, stays local unless you explicitly share the media elsewhere.
Data Retention and Deletion
Anonymous usage and crash data are retained by third-party services according to their policies (e.g., Firebase retention practices). Media on your device remains until you delete it. Uninstalling the app removes local app data from your device.
Payment Terms and In-App Purchases
The app offers in-app purchases and paid subscriptions for premium features. All payments and subscriptions are handled securely by Google Play Billing. We do not collect, store, or access your payment details, such as credit card information or Google account passwords.
Subscriptions: They renew automatically unless canceled before the next billing date. Manage or cancel anytime in your Google Play account settings. You keep premium access until the current period ends if you cancel.
Purchase Information: Google may share limited, non-personal details with us (e.g., subscription status) to unlock features.
Refunds and Cancellations: Handle all refund requests through Google Play according to their rules.
Third-Party Sharing: We do not share your purchase information with any third parties beyond what Google requires for verification.
All transactions follow Google Play Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.
User Rights Under GDPR
If you are in the EEA, you have rights to: access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your data; object to processing; and data portability. Contact us to exercise these rights. We will respond without undue delay.
User Rights Under CCPA/CPRA
California residents may have rights to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, opt out of “sale” of data (we do not sell data), and non-discrimination. Since we collect minimal personal data, these rights apply to any limited technical information processed. Contact us to exercise them.
“Do Not Track” (CalOPPA)
We do not respond to “Do Not Track” signals from browsers as this is a mobile app, but you can manage advertising preferences through device settings.
International Data Transfers
Any limited anonymous data processed by third-party services (like Firebase or ad providers) may be transferred to servers outside your country, including the United States. These providers apply appropriate safeguards consistent with their policies.
Protection from Malware and Network Misuse
We do not engage in or support malware distribution, network misuse, or harmful activities. The app is designed for legitimate camera use only.
Links to Other Websites and Apps
The app may contain links to external sites or services (e.g., for support). We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies before using them.
Children’s Privacy
This app is not targeted at or intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have such data, contact us to remove it.
Compliance with Legal Obligations and Law Enforcement
We may disclose limited information if required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy occasionally to reflect changes in the app or legal requirements. The “Last Updated” date at the top will change. We encourage you to review it periodically. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
