It seems kind of weird to me that going into settings -> wallpaper -> gallery allows you to select up to 15 wallpapers for the lock screen but only allows you to set 1 for the home screen. Am I doing something wrong?

in ios 16, branded live wallpapers and special ones for the iphone xs max model have completely disappeared, which is very sad, I hope that Apple developers will return live wallpapers from live photo and exclusive for that model live wallpapersand that I have already tried to put several live photos as wallpaper, but they are just like a static picture and more than one tip from apple care support did not help

Android had live wallpapers ages ago and apple is still unable to crack it. The long press in ios to animate wallpaper concept belongs to the stone age. Bored of seeing the same icons and theme in ios. I might as well switch to android as it offers loads of customization and the phone turns magical and lively. If I'm paying 1000 bucks, I want the phone screen to look how I want it not how apple wants it!

Please stop yelling, DEV knows better what you like and what is not necessary for you any more. They just remove live photo so accept it, adapt yourself to new idea bacause probably you don't understand it at all. Of course they could did a pinch gesture (android style) or L gesture or any other gesture to enable edit mode for lock screen insted of hold a touch what was a live photo start but... if they decide to remove it it's just done. Sometimes if you take out you phone from a pocket and realize that lock screen widget was changed due to self auto hold touch and random edit of lock screen, please don't scream it's a new surprise like 1st April so be smiled and happy you just get a bonus.

Just upgraded to Sonoma on my 2023 Macbook and am trying to use the wallpapers. Some of the Landscape wallpapers do not fit my screen properly. It seems to be too high of a resolution as I am only able to see a portion of the picture. There doesn't seem to be any controls to fit the picture to the screen. I am trying to use the Scotland ones. I also did a bit of digging and found that those wallpapers are .mov files rather than a picture file like jpg or png. Can you even change the resolution of .mov files?

I am using Apple Studio Display (which is a 5K monitor), Sonoma wallpapers are blurry except one "Sonoma Horizon" which was the default wallpaper when I installed Sonoma for the first time. All the other wallpapers are either seem to be cropped or not crystal clear. I guess it might be fixed in future updates

Thank you xaru_fushigi for confirming the problem. Apple has been really promoting these new "motion" wallpapers/screen savers. It's unfortunate that they have been implemented improperly as it is a nice touch in the aesthetics department. There are a A LOT of these new wallpapers/screensavers included with Sonoma, but as I said, they are simply unusable - not sure how this could have gotten into the final release. Again, thanks for confirming.

I am having the same/similar issue. I am running a 4K external display connected to my M1 16" MBP. Everything has been crystal clear until Sonoma. ALL (yes, every single one) of the new "motion" wallpapers/screensavers are BLURRY. Maybe they were shot in 5K and look fine on the Apply display? - Not sure. All I know is that all mine do not scale properly @ 4K and are noticeably blurry to the point where they are UNUSABLE. I believe this is happening because it is taking a single frame from the motion shot and using it for the still background when not in motion. Each individual frame is not necessarily "in focus", but when set in motion you do not notice because it is essentially a .mov file.

I am unable to get into Wallpaper through the System Settings. When I tried to open Wallpaper in the settings, it initially indicated that there was an error but that was a flash and gone. Now, it shows none of the wallpaper images and my screen is using the one that was in use when it crapped out.....

These wallpapers are actually Apple's screensavers / aerial movies taken from Apple TV. They can be downloaded in 4K as the maximum resolution and therefore look blurred on a 5K screen. This is most likely not a software issue. There is probably just no 5K material (yet).

You can change the background images on your phone's Home screens and lock screens. You can choose from your own photos or use images that come on your phone, including images that change automatically.

I wanted a different wallpaper (or "screensaver," for the non-technical relatives, because I know you call desktop wallpaper that) for each of my multiple monitors in Windows. To start changing your wallpaper, first right-click on the desktop on click Personalize.

With the Dynamic Lock screen, wallpapers on your Lock screen will rotate every time your Galaxy phone wakes up. However, to use this feature you need to download a Fresh pack. These are groups of wallpapers that will update automatically every two weeks.

To download one background, click the button to show all options. Next, click on your preferred design, then click the download button located in the upper left corner of the screen. The download will begin.

To download multiple backgrounds, click the button to show all options. Then, hover over a design and select the round button in the upper right corner. Next, select the same button on the other backgrounds you want to download. Once you have selected all the items you want, click the download button located in the upper right corner of the screen. The images will be downloaded as a zipped file. You will need to decompress the file to access the backgrounds.

Go to the University of North Dakota's Instagram profile (@UofNorthDakota) and click on the "Wallpapers" featured story. Then, hold down on the screen for a second and screenshot to use one of our mobile wallpapers as the background on your mobile device.

Wallpaper Engine allows you to use your wallpapers as screensavers. Traditionally, screensavers were used to protect displays from permanent image burn-in, however, most modern display technologies are not susceptible to these types of display damage anymore and you can safely use any type of wallpaper as a screensaver for aesthetic purposes. If you use a CRT, Plasma, OLED or similar screen technology that is susceptible burn-ins, we recommend using a playlist of wallpapers as a screensaver or a wallpaper with regular motion.

In order to get started with using Wallpaper Engine as a screensaver, hover over the Installed tab in the Wallpaper Engine window and select Configure Screensaver. Wallpaper Engine will now check if you have already installed the Wallpaper Engine screensaver for Windows. If the screensaver has not yet been installed yet, you will be asked to install it. Make sure your Windows user has administrative rights and that no antivirus app is blocking Wallpaper Engine from installing the screensaver.

After the initial installation, the Windows screensaver settings should open automatically, alternatively you can open the settings manually using the Settings & Preview button or by directly accessing the screensaver settings via Windows.

In order for the Wallpaper Engine screensaver to work, you need to first select Wallpaper Engine as your active screensaver in the Windows settings. You can open the Windows screensaver settings through the Windows control panel or by clicking on Settings & Preview while in screensaver mode in Wallpaper Engine. See the video below for the necessary steps:

In the Windows settings, you can control the time it takes until the screensaver appears and whether or not you will be presented with the Windows lock-screen when you return to your computer. These settings are entirely handled by Windows, Wallpaper Engine itself does not control the screen timeout or similar.

Once you have set up the screensaver in Windows, you can start configuring the Wallpaper Engine screensaver. Hover over the Installed tab in Wallpaper Engine and select Configure Screensaver. Wallpaper Engine will now preview your screensavers instead of your wallpapers - once you exit screensaver mode, you will return back to your wallpaper configuration.

In its default state, Wallpaper Engine will use the most basic setup where your screensavers are exactly the same as your actively running wallpapers. You can change this by changing the Screensaver is option to Configured separately at the top. With that option enabled, you can choose a wallpaper for each screen which is to be used as a screensaver or even use a completely different display profile or playlists for your screensaver setup. You can always return to the wallpaper configuration by clicking on the red Quit button in the upper left corner. ff782bc1db
