The Holmes County Transition Partnership Network is a group of local stakeholders, who came together in the Summer of 2017. The team includes members from the county, regional and state organizations that support education. Community agencies that provide services to support children and their families are also involved.
In the beginning, we met quarterly to discuss barriers facilitated by Chris Filler from OCALI. Barriers in Holmes County - Belief in community employment, Youth preparation for community employment, comprehensive coordination of information, agency barriers, and experiential learning. One by one, we began to break down these barriers and to this day we are still meeting to discuss the needs of our youth.
