Based on feedback from the fall survey, we are offering beginner and advanced sessions for Google Meet and Slides. The 101 sessions are geared as a basic introduction/slow and steady. The 102 sessions are geared (by request) to highlight advanced functionality, application, and use of the tool

Google Meet Essentials (101) - LogicWing

Slow and steady - introduction for those new to using Google Meet for teaching and meeting. Specifically for beginners. Run real-time meetings with Google Meet using your browser. Share your webcam video, desktop, and present with colleagues and students for engaging learning. We will place you into breakout rooms, conduct polls, allow participants to engage in an interactive Q&A session and discuss effective practices for students. Google Meet Advanced (102) Eric Curts

Are you familiar with Google Meet and want to go further? In this session we will explore advanced features including helpful extensions, giving remote control, breakout rooms, the Q&A feature, Jamboard integration, changing your background, noise cancellation, using a second camera, translating content, and more. Google Slides (101) - Blanca Duarte

Google Slides 101 will provide you with a walk through on the basics of creating and designing Google Slides for teaching and learning. This session will leave you with the skills you need to present like a pro! In this session, you will explore how to create a presentation: insert new slides and import already existing ones, insert audio and video; insert and edit images, create animations and add transitions, and use the present feature. Advanced Slides for the Digital Classroom by Eric Curts

We all know Google Slides is a great tool for making multimedia slideshows, but it can be used for so much more! In this session we will explore advanced features and projects that can be done with Google Slides including stop-motion animation, non-linear (branching) slideshows, drag-and-drop manipulatives, audio activities, educational add-ons such as Pear Deck, and more.
