The first "Interfaith Prayer for Peace" coordinated by the WCRP (World Conference of Religions for Peace) Hawaii Chapter was held at the State Diamond Head Crater Park on October 3, 1993.
We organized the "A-bombs Exhibit for Peace ~Face the Past to Heal the Present~" in 2014 for 9 days, having over 1,000 visitors including 700 students. 35 co-sponsors of schools and religious & peace organizations had provided us with their support throughout our 2 year's of preparation.
We also coordinated "President Obama's Peace Prayer Project" in 2007, sending more than 2,500 petitions to the White House to request him to visit the Hiroshima & the Nagasaki Peace Memorials. Mr. Obama finally visited Hiroshima in May 2016, and we received his reply in August of the same year.
