Privacy Policy for HCM Field Worker

This Privacy Policy explains how Razor Infotech Private Limited ("Razor Infotech", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information through the mobile application HCM Field Worker (package name com.razorinfotech.hcmfieldworker) on Google Play. HCM Field Worker is a companion app for field employees of organizations that use the HCM platform. Its purpose is to share an on-duty employee's live location with their employer so the employer can coordinate field work, verify attendance, and support staff safety during working hours. The app is provided to employees by their employer, and information is processed on behalf of that employer.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
- Location (precise and approximate), including in the background. While you are on duty, the app collects your device's location and continues to do so in the background, when the screen is off, or when the app is closed or not in use, so tracking is not interrupted during your shift. Collection starts when you are on duty (punched in and enabled as a field worker) and stops when you punch out or end duty.
- Personal information: your name and Employee ID, used to identify you to your employer.
- Device identifiers: a device identifier used to associate the session with your device.
- Device diagnostics: battery level and charging state, network connectivity and type, whether location services are on, app permission states, and app state — so your employer can understand why your location may not be updating.
- Authentication credentials: your password is used only to sign you in and is not stored in readable form.
HOW WE USE INFORMATION
- To share your live location with your employer while you are on duty.
- To verify attendance and coordinate field work.
- To support employee safety during working hours.
- To operate, maintain, and troubleshoot the app.
HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION
- With your employer: your live and historical location and diagnostics are made available to your employer (the organization that provides your HCM account) through the HCM dashboard, so authorized managers can view field-worker location during working hours.
- Service providers: trusted hosting/infrastructure providers that process data on our behalf under confidentiality and security obligations.
- We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for advertising.
- We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety.
DATA RETENTION
Location and diagnostics data is retained for as long as needed to provide attendance and field-work records to your employer and as required by your employer's policies and applicable law.
DATA SECURITY
All data transmitted between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. We apply administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the data.
YOUR CHOICES AND CONTROL
- The app shows a persistent notification whenever live location sharing is active.
- You can stop sharing at any time by ending duty or punching out.
- You can change or revoke location, background-location, and notification permissions in your device Settings.
- Data access and deletion: to request access to or deletion of your data, contact your employer's administrator or email us at privacy@razorinfotech.com.
CHILDREN
HCM Field Worker is intended for use by employees and is not directed to children under 13.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
