This page is designed to provide information, tools and resources that support establishing collaborative professional learning teams in our schools and help committed educators through the journey of authentic PLCs.
Curriculum
PLC teams use meaningful student data to determine and support the learning needs of students and educators. Key questions:
What do we want all students to learn as a result of this unit?
What are our students’ greatest needs based on the data?
Which specific standards address these needs?
How can we incorporate these standards into lesson plans?
How can we effectively implement lessons?
Assessment
Based on the standards addressed in the team developed lesson, the PLC constructs common formative assessments (CFAs). Key questions:
How will we determine student mastery? What does the data show?
What specific assessment tools will we use to assess mastery?
How often will we assess learning?
Remediation
