Fifth International Workshop on Human-Centered Computational Sensing - Welcome and Committees (HCCS 2025)
Welcome Message
We are honored to share the proceedings of the Fifth edition of the International IEEE Workshop on Human-Centered Computational Sensing (HCCS'25), held in conjunction with IEEE PerCom 2025.
HCCS'25 continues to promote research into the unobtrusive observation of human cognitive, behavioral, physiological, and contextual data, facilitating new computing experiences and effective intervention opportunities. The workshop also fosters critical dialogue on the societal implications of human-centered computational sensing.
This year, we received 8 submissions encompassing diverse topics. Following a rigorous review process led by an international program committee, 5 papers were selected for publication. These papers will be presented in two technical sessions focused on two primary research areas: human sensing applications, and physiological and behavioral sensing.
The workshop program features an exciting keynote talk by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Delphine Reinhardt (Univeristy of Göttingen, Germany) entitled “Towards Privacy-respecting Robots”. It contributes to human-centric sensing by highlighting the privacy challenges posed by sensor-equipped and interactive robots in daily life and proposing strategies to implement privacy-preserving mechanisms aligned with user expectations.
We extend our deepest gratitude to the technical program committee members for their dedicated and timely reviews. Our thanks also go to the PerCom Workshops Co-Chairs, General Chairs, Publication chairs and Local organizing chairs, for their invaluable guidance and support in the workshop organization. Finally, we express our appreciation to the authors and attendees for their contributions and active participation.
As co-organizers of HCCS'25, we are honored to present this year’s program and hope you find it engaging and inspiring.
