This Privacy Policy explains how Habitro ("we", "us", or "the app") handles your information. Habitro is designed to be private by default: there are no accounts, no ads, and your habit data stays on your device.
1. Summary
Your habit data never leaves your device (except through Google's system backup under your own Google account — see Section 4).
We do not require registration and we do not collect your name, email address, or contacts.
We collect limited, aggregated usage analytics and crash reports to improve the app.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
2. Data stored on your device
All habit content you create in Habitro — habit names, icons, schedules, check-ins, notes, strength scores, and app settings — is stored locally in a database on your device. We cannot access, read, or recover this data. Deleting the app deletes this data from your device (see Section 7).
3. Data we collect
Habitro uses Google Firebase to understand how the app is used in aggregate and to detect crashes. Through these services we collect:

Analytics & app functionality
This data is pseudonymous: it is associated with a random app-instance ID, not with your name or email (we never have those). Analytics data is retained by Firebase for up to 14 months.
4. Backup
Habitro participates in Android's system backup (Google Auto Backup). If backup is enabled in your device settings, Android periodically saves the app's data to your personal Google Drive, encrypted and tied to your own Google account. We have no access to these backups. You can disable this in your device's system settings (Settings → Google → Backup).
5. Data sharing
We do not sell personal data. We do not share data with third parties for advertising or marketing. The only third party that processes data on our behalf is Google LLC (Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics), acting as a service provider under its Firebase privacy terms. Data may be processed on servers located outside your country, including the United States, subject to appropriate safeguards.
We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal process.
6. Permissions the app requests
Notifications — requested only when you turn on a reminder, and used solely to deliver the reminders and daily summaries you configure.
Run at startup — used to restore your scheduled reminders after the device restarts.
Vibration — used for optional haptic feedback on check-ins.
Habitro does not request access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone, files, or health data.
7. Data deletion
Local data: uninstalling the app permanently deletes all habit data stored on your device. You can also clear the app's storage in your device settings.
Backups: managed by your Google account; deleting the app's backup can be done via your Google Drive backup settings.
Analytics data: to request deletion of analytics data associated with your app instance, contact us at support@habitro.app and we will process the request with our service provider.
8. Children
Habitro is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
Habit data is stored in your device's app-private storage, protected by the Android application sandbox. Analytics and crash data are transmitted to Google over encrypted connections.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above, and, where appropriate, notified within the app. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
