Transitioning from a different academic background
Transitioning from a different academic background
Whether you are transitioning from a different academic background, completed your bachelor’s at a University of Applied Sciences (HBO) or studied somewhere other than the Vrije Universiteit, we are there for you! Transitioning to this master programme can come with differences and can take some getting used to. That's why the MPA team has put together a dedicated support team to help you find your footing, so you can focus on what matters most: your studies.
On this website, you'll find everything you need to know before and during your transition to the Master Management, Policy Analysis and Entrepreneurship in the Health & Life Sciences. More information will follow at the start of the programme.
Information and useful links to help you prepare for and during the start of the MPA master.
Frequently asked questions from students who (are thinking about) transitioning from HBO to the Master MPA.
Students with an alternative academic background typically perform well during the MPA master. Despite this success, we still want to provide you with useful information to ensure that students who are transitioning from different academic backgrounds (for instance Applied Sciences) know what to expect.
We want to listen to your needs, and provide sufficient support both before and during your enrollment. We asked students about their experiences during their transition to the MPA master, and want to use this information to help future MPA students thrive.
We have a dedicated team available for students who are finding their footing in the MPA programme.
