Since we have been challenged with the most Excellent theme of Tricksters, Tramps and Thieves, we decided to run with the aspects of transformation and disguise to shape the mood of our A&S activities. (Activities may be subject to change)

For Fun:

Visit the Gaming Tent and Fortune Teller/Musicians Tavern near the Fighting Field and USE some of that GOLD!

Fiber Solar:

  • Hosted by Mistress Dervila in the lower level of the main building from 1-4 pm .

Children’s Activities:

*Volunteers to assist with these activities would be appreciated. Open throughout the day. Parent/Guardian must accompany the child/children while participating.

1) Mask making.

Using a pre-cut, simple pattern, a hole punch and ribbon, plus “craft scraps”. Donations of glue, paper, and ribbon would be appreciated but are not required.

2) Favor-making.

Children create their own with simple with wide ribbon, stamps and paint, perhaps glue on “gems”.

Competitions and Display

1) The Nun’s Priests Tale - Flattery, Trickery, Cocks, Foxes and Hens!

A piece based on or inspired by the aforementioned story by Chaucer

Competition is open to multiple applications- such as Sheet Music, Illumination, Calligraphy, and Embroidery and based on a Period Example.

Competition will require formal documentation and will be judged as required by the Atlantian MOAS Standards.

2) Unleash the Beast Within - Mask Making

The four extant examples of Mask making are – Wood, Paper Mache, Leather and Metal

Competition will require formal documentation and inspiration for the mask itself and judged as required by the Atlantian MOAS Standards.

3) Ugly Brews - For the Shiners Among Hawkwood!

Open to Brewers and Bards ( They can be one and the same, but collaboration is encouraged).

Showcase a brew that may not be very pretty, but sure tastes great. Glorify it by having a Bard either penning and sharing a story, poem or song about your brew!

Brewing will be based on the Kingdom Brewers Guild
