Tights, Leotards, and Shoes
Tights will be sized at your dancers casting workshop or first rehearsal. Levels 1-6 female dancers have a choice in color preference of tights , either skin toned or pink. Level 7 -10 will wear pink tights with a back seam. Tights will be delivered with the rest of the showcase uniform during a class or rehearsal closer to the performances. Leotards will be sized at your dancers casting workshop or first rehearsal. Leotards will be distributed to your dancer with the rest of the showcase uniform closer to the performances.
*PLEASE NOTE* performance leotards and men's tights MUST BE RETURNED to the Center for Dance in the weeks following the performances. Please return the items CLEANED in a plastic bag, including first/last name AND current level to the designated bin in the CFD lobby no later than May 11th. If not returned, your student’s fall placement will be held until we receive the leotard. If the item is lost, or if the tag has been removed, a $75 charge will be added to your account.
Shoes will be sized at casting workshops. Students levels 1-5 will wear flat shoes provided by HB; Those who select skin tone tights will be provided shoes to match. Students levels 6 and up will be in pointe shoes provided by the dancer; Shoes will need to be pancaked to match tights color. Male dancers will wear flat black shoes provided by HB. All shoes provided by HB will be delivered on the same day as leotards and tights.
Undergarments should not be worn under female leotards. Male dancers must wear a dance belt under their tights.

Accesories
All jewelry should be removed for performances. This includes but is not limited to: rings, bracelets, necklaces, and earrings.
Eyeglasses are not to be worn on stage.
Nail polish is not permitted
Hair
All dancers should have hair neatly groomed and pulled back away from the face.
Female and non-binary students should secure hair into a mid-bun with no part. Please use a hairnet, bobby pins, and hairspray/gel to achieve this look.
Textured hair that is in braids or twists should be secured into a bun with no loose ends and off the nape of the neck.

Makeup
All dancers will need to wear makeup for performances.
Full make up includes foundation to match the skin tone, black eyeliner, medium to dark brown eyeshadow, blush, lipstick, and mascara.
Blush and lip stick shades:
Dancers with lighter skin tones should use a Pink/Rose shade of blush and lipstick.
Dancers with darker skin tones should use a Plum shade of blush and lipstick.
Male dancers should use a medium brown with a plum tint
