Kayra Husser (President)

Kayra Husser is the vice president and product management manager of Wells Fargo Loyalty Solutions, a position she has held since joining the company in January 1998. She oversees strategic planning and customer service operations, managing travel and general service call centers, and leading strategies for new program features. Additionally, she negotiates contracts to establish vendor relationships.

Husser has held various leadership roles within Wells Fargo, starting her career as a customer service representative in Consumer Banking. She holds a bachelor's degree in Natural Science from the University of Puerto Rico and completed the Latino Leaders Program at UCLA. Originally from Moca, Puerto Rico, she now lives in Charleston, South Carolina, with her husband Jermaine and their children, London and Jaxon. Her daughter Ariana is pursuing a Master's in Healthcare Management at the University of North Carolina in Charlotte.

Kayra Husser es supervisora de operaciones en Wells Fargo Loyalty Solutions, donde gestiona los centros de llamadas de viajes y servicios generales, y lidera estrategias de servicio para nuevas características y productos del programa. También se encarga del desarrollo y negociación de contratos para establecer relaciones con proveedores externos. A lo largo de su carrera, ha ocupado diversos puestos de liderazgo en Wells Fargo, comenzando como representante de servicio al cliente en la banca de consumo.

Husser tiene una licenciatura en Ciencias Naturales de la Universidad de Puerto Rico y completó el Programa de Líderes Latinos en UCLA. Creció en Moca, Puerto Rico, y se trasladó a los Estados Unidos tras finalizar sus estudios. Actualmente vive en Charleston, Carolina del Sur, con su esposo Jermaine y sus hijos London y Jaxon. Su hija Ariana está cursando una maestría en Gestión de la Atención Médica en la Universidad de Carolina del Norte en Charlotte.

Laura Bland (Vice-president)

Laura Bland is a Colombian entrepreneur and coffee enthusiast based in Charleston, SC. She is the proud owner of the coffee truck Double Shot Coffee, and serves as the vice president of HBA.

With a background in agronomy, she is dedicated to promoting sustainable agriculture and supporting local farmers. She is passionate about community engagement and social activities that benefit minorities.

Laura Bland (Vicepresidente)

Laura Bland es una emprendedora Colombiana y entusiasta de café. Vive en Charleston, SC. Es la orgullosa dueña del camión de café Double Shot Coffee, y es la vicepresidente de HBA.

Con experiencia en agronomía, se dedica a promover la agricultura sostenible y apoyar a los agricultores locales. Le apasiona la participación comunitaria y las actividades sociales que benefician a las minorías.

Tiziana Acerbo Calligari

I am Venezuelan but have been living outside my beautiful country for over 30 years.

I originally studied Law with a specialization in Criminalistics; however, I spent 14 years of my career in education. I have two young adult children. In 2017, I completed my Paralegal studies in the U.S. and gave my career a new direction, returning to my original path. I've worked in the fields of commerce, finance, criminal law, and immigration, with immigration becoming my true passion.

Today, I dedicate myself to my business, TAC Immigration, LLC, where I prepare immigration forms. I love what I do and feel privileged to have this role. Another passion of mine is writing songs and children’s stories.

I am very excited to contribute to the Hispanic Business Association in my new role as Outreach Coordinator. Thank you for the opportunity and trust.

Tiziana Acerbo Calligari (Coordinador)

Soy venezolana, pero llevo más de 30 años fuera de mi querido país.

Mi formación académica fue en Derecho, con especialización en Criminalística; sin embargo, dediqué 14 años de mi carrera a la educación. Tengo dos hijos jóvenes adultos. En el 2017, completé mis estudios como Paralegal en los Estados Unidos y di un giro profesional en mi vida, retomando así mi camino inicial. He trabajado en los campos mercantil, de finanzas, criminal y de inmigración, y es este último donde descubrí mi verdadera pasión.

Hoy me dedico a mi propio negocio, TAC Inmigración, LLC, donde soy preparadora de formularios de inmigración.Amo lo que hago y me siento privilegiada por ello. Otra de mis pasiones es escribir canciones e historias para niños.

Estoy muy ilusionada de poder contribuir al Hispanic Business Association en mi nuevo rol como Coordinadora de Alcance Comunitario. Gracias por la oportunidad y la confianza.

Eva Barahona (Treasurer)

Eva Barahona is an enthusiastic and innovative professional with over 20 years of experience in the field of business administration, marketing, and professional training. She is also an entrepreneur who currently works as an independent contractor, providing services in event organization and more. Always willing to use and share her extensive professional experience in business administration to support the Hispanic community. She believes in giving back to her community and often volunteers her free time to participate in events for nonprofit organizations. She is a mother of two wonderful children and a wife. She was born in the city of San Pedro Sula (Honduras). Eva is passionate about travel and food.

Eva Barahona (Tesorera)

Eva Barahona es una profesional entusiasta e innovadora con más de 20 años de experiencia en el área de administración de empresas, comercialización y formación profesional. También es una emprendedora Actualmente trabaja como contratista independiente proveyendo servicios en organización de eventos y otros. Siempre dispuesta a poder usar y compartir su amplia experiencia profesional en administración de empresas para apoyar a la comunidad hispana. Ella cree en retribuir a su comunidad, y a menudo ofrece su tiempo libre como voluntaria para participar en eventos de organizaciones sin fines de lucro. Es madre de dos hijos maravillosos y esposa. Nació en la ciudad de San Pedro Sula (Honduras). Eva es entusiasta de los viajes y la comida.

Yajaira Bess (Secretary)

Yajaira has always dreamed of being a meteorologist in a newsroom, but her career took a different path. She has spent 19 years at Berkeley Electric Cooperative, where she discovered a passion for community service and member engagement. Yajaira currently leads the Limited English Proficiency (LEP) program and hosts "Conversaciones Electrificantes," a radio show focused on community involvement. She also serves as the secretary of the HBA. Recognized by the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association for promoting diversity and inclusion, Yajaira has spoken at several events on community engagement and co-op voting. She is dedicated to supporting members through outreach and partnerships with local organizations, helping address their needs and promote the cooperative's mission.
