The introduction to the mini hot air balloon project
Explanation about how the hot air balloon floats in the sky.
I forgot to mention that the part heating the air causes it to expand, so the volume inside the balloon increases if the balloon’s envelope can stretch. If the envelope is rigid, the pressure inside increases instead. It is Charles's Law because Charles’s Law states that at constant pressure, the volume of a gas is directly proportional to its temperature (𝑉∝𝑇).
Sketching the "blueprint" of my mini hot air balloon and my plan for the materials
Building the basket for my lovely passengers using ice cream sticks
Making the most important part of hot air balloon - envelope
This was my first try to fly my first mini hot air balloon but it burned. It was because of the wind push the fire toward my envelope.
Since my first mini hot air balloon burned, so i made a new balloon using another materials. Unfortunately, the envelope shrunk because the fire is too strong for that size of envelope.
I tried to make the hot air balloon a few times, but they all failed. some didn't fly, nothing happened and some just burned. It was all the wind's fault... or maybe my materials were just too heavy HAHAHA.
After all the tries.. finally, this time it floated but it didn't have a basket and passenger.
Conclusion
I made one more mini hot air balloon this time with a basket and passenger
