[ Welcome ]
Hello world! Welcome to my official website! I created this website to show my Artwork, Webcomic, and Creative related works along with some more about me as an artist and person.
From youth, art has always been apart of my life and been a major hobby along side gaming. I have always been the creative type and take a lot of my inspirations from gaming, movies, and the shows I watched on TV. In the media I consumed I always gravitated to the more unique character designs such as aliens, monsters, robots, I always found human designs boring compared to the others.
After watching or playing a game I would often attempt to draw the characters I saw, and every now and then I would create my own original characters with interesting stories. Another activity that fueled my creativity was building Lego and creating my own Bionicle figures. In my head I would make a grand story where each character played a role in. Additonally had other creative outlets in gaming such as Minecraft and LittleBigPlanet where I was free to build and see potential for creation in everyday objects. During this time I would go back and forth in my sketchbook and doodle frequently on my school papers, I had a good friend who we would make small comics and share our stories with each other. When I grew a little older, I began making Lego stop motions on Youtube for years. Most of my stop motions were of Lego Bionicle fights with stock sound effects and music, though very choppy, within my last year they became more fluid. I was using Windows Movie Maker at the time and there was no setting to adjust the entire timeline, so I put a rough estimate of timing in my stop motions. I had a small sieres about the Bionicle characters in an infected world and the virus was spreading. Although not the best at story telling, it was greatly influenced by the games I played such as StarCraft. I worked on my Bionicle story for a good 4 years before I ended the project entirely. I eventually attempted to make digital art. At first I started off using apps on my phone until I landed on FlipaClip for a time. A year later I was fortunate enough to obtain my first Wacom drawing tablet.
Dipping my toe into animation was daunting and I mainly stuck with traditional frame by frame. I learned 24 frames per second is not always the way and stuck with 12 frames per second instead. During this time I was in late middle school and experimented with video editing and small animations. My Youtube channel was mostly gaming the editing inspiration came from high quality gaming edits with a mix of memes and references to other games. In addition I was began watching anime and became more invested in animation as a medium. A couple of years passed and had entered Highschool, I took a break from creating gaming and animations for 2 years. However this is when I started taking Youtube and my work more seriously, I created the Hazard.avi Youtube channel, only uploading short animations every now and then. With this channel I aimed to get views but at the same time I wanted to continue animation and gaming related videos. Right before covid struck, I began working on the story and writing for what is now my comic [ Monster Boy ].
Covid struck my sophomore year, and I didn't attend class in person until my senior year, but during this time I began to take my art seriously. Throughout my years, I have made many original characters and wanted to connect them all into one big story. I made an effort to try and finish this project, as I would often start many animations videos, but abandon them. I made 7 chapters before I ended up scrapping original story and decided to make major changes in order to tell a compelling story. I took major inspirations from Anime and video games to create the action scenes and overall flow of the story. My second attempt had its own dedicated sketchbook, and within I kept the core ideas and plot. I had to rebuild the story from the ground up and gave a simple foundation and premise. I translated up to chapter 4 in the original story, this was a real test for my writing skills. I did my best not to rush the character developments and chapters but I did to an extent. My 2nd attempt at the Monster Boy story was a huge difference but I halted the project again in order to rewrite it a 3rd time but this time would be final and digital. My 3rd attempt was not a direct translation from the 2nd draft, but expanded more on the story and weight of the narrative. I took my time with chapter one and what was originally 18 pages, came out to 68. I kept the high improvement standard for the following chapters, as of now I translated up to chapter 3 of the original story.
During the making of [ Monster boy Project ] I have been making animations on the side, along with small artworks that I post on tiktok or instagram. I am currently a junior pursing a bachelors in animation degree. I have worked on many school related projects and have been exposed to 3D animation, adobe software, and fundamentals on drawing. Creating is my passion and I will do it in any medium I find.
My goal is to express my creativity ideas in everything I make, I am to make my comic an animated series. I seek to learn and improve upon my skills all the while give entertainment. For all of my works I aim to entertain, and if its not fun to create, then its boring to watch.
