About Us

Hays CISD Council of PTAs was formed in April 2010 by local PTAs and HCISD to provide a local supporting body for PTAs in the school district.

Our goal is to foster communication among local units to share best practices and common concerns; to offer additional support to local PTAs with training; to provide a unified, effective voice in relationships with the HCISD and other community partners; to link HCISD PTAs with resources provided by Texas PTA; to promote access to available resources on parenting and education from Texas PTA and National PTA.

**Council Board members are nominated by a nominating committee, which is formed during January. Board officers are then elected during the annual membership meeting held in March. All board members must be a member of the local PTA they are representing.
