Teaching Philosophy

"Economics is the study of decision making that is subject to a scarce amount of resources. This means economics is applicable in many relevant settings and it is applicable to every student in my class. As students continue their lives, these economic concepts will be important for their labor supply, finances, education, health, and much more. These economic ideas apply to every student regardless of their past, present, or future. Because of this I aim to focus my teaching on skills and tools that will be useful to all students in a variety of ways throughout their lives. Creating a class environment that is inclusive, applicable, and memorable is important for my teaching."
