The Hayfield Fire Department is made up of 30 Fire Fighters who volunteer their time to respond to emergencies. The members are required to take 120 hours of classroom training to be certified at Fire Fighter 1 and Fire Fighter 2 levels, as well as continuing education. Once a month the Fire Fighters are required to attend training to keep their skills sharpened.
We work closely with the d Dodge County Sheriff's Office, Mower County Sheriff's Office and Olmsted County Sheriff's Office. We also work with the Hayfield Ambulance Service as well as with other surrounding community emergency services. We are part of the zumbro valley mutual aid group which is made up of various different departments.
If you are interested in joining the Hayfield Fire Department please contact us! We do two hiring sessions a year in the spring and fall. If we are not currently hiring due to a full roster, we will contact you to let you know.
