- **Complete Local Processing:** All optical character recognition (OCR), camera captures, perspective transformations, image filter enhancements, PDF generation, PDF merging/splitting, digital signatures, and ID photo creation are executed **100% on-device** within your phone's isolated local sandboxed storage.
- **No Document Uploads:** We do not automatically upload, transmit, monitor, or store any of your scanned documents, photographs, signatures, or generated PDF files to external servers or cloud repositories.
- **Zero Third-Party Data Selling:** We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, scanned files, or user data under any circumstances.

## 3. Permissions Used and Why They Are Needed
DocScanner requests only the minimum permissions necessary to deliver document scanning functionality, strictly following Google Play policies:

To maintain high reliability, prevent crashes, and optimize image processing algorithms, DocScanner utilizes standard Google Firebase services:
- **Firebase Crashlytics:** Collects anonymized stack traces and crash reports when an unexpected error occurs.
- **Firebase Analytics:** Collects anonymous aggregated app telemetry (e.g., app launches, operating system version, device model).
These diagnostic services **do not** collect document content, scanned images, text strings extracted from OCR, or passwords.
