1. This Privacy Policy ("Policy") is issued by CODE CONNECT TECHNOLOGIES, operating under the developer name Code Connect ("we," "us," or "our"). This Policy governs the data practices for our mobile application, MeShot: GPS Camera & Geo Stamp (the "App"), and all related services (collectively, the "Services").
2. The App is designed to help users capture and preserve memories by geo-tagging videos and photos with location and timestamp details. It also features Earth View, an interactive world map that enables users to explore diverse destinations, serving as both a personal memory keeper and a global exploration tool.
3. This Policy is a legally binding agreement. By downloading, installing, or using our Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the data practices described herein. If you do not agree with this Policy, you must not use the Services and should uninstall the App from your device.
4. For the purposes of this Policy, "Personal Data" means any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.
Our approach to privacy is founded on the following core principles:
1. Transparency: We are committed to being open and clear about our data processing activities. This Policy is designed to provide you with an intelligible and easily accessible understanding of what data we collect, why we collect it, and how it is used.
2. Purpose Limitation: We will only collect and process your Personal Data for the specified, explicit, and legitimate purposes articulated in this Policy. We will not process your data in a manner that is incompatible with those purposes.
3. Data Minimization: We adhere to the principle of collecting only the Personal Data that is strictly necessary, adequate, and relevant to achieve the purposes for which it is processed.
4. User Control and Autonomy: We design our Services to empower you with meaningful control over your Personal Data. This Policy details the tools and choices available to you to manage your data and privacy preferences.
5. Security by Design: We integrate robust security measures into our application's lifecycle to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of your Personal Data.
To provide and improve our Services, we collect several categories of Personal Data.
1. Location Data (Provided by You for Core Functionality)
To use the App's core features, such as displaying your position on a map and providing an accurate compass bearing, you must grant the App access to your device's location.
Geolocation Data: We collect your device's approximate (ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION) and precise (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION) location, including longitude and latitude. This information is the basis for the App's primary utility. You can revoke location permissions at any time through your device's settings, but doing so will render the core features of the App non-functional.
2. Technical Data (Collected Automatically for Service Operation and Advertising)
To ensure the proper functioning of the Services and to facilitate our advertising-based business model, we automatically collect certain technical and usage data through Software Development Kits (SDKs) and other tracking technologies.
1. Device and Network Information: This includes your IP address, device manufacturer and model, operating system version, screen dimensions, time zone, network state (e.g., Wi-Fi), and system language.
2. Application and Advertising Identifiers: This includes your device's advertising identifier (Google Advertising ID on Android), the App's version and identifier (package name), and unique device identifiers.
3. Usage and Interaction Data: This encompasses your interactions with the Services, including the number of app openings, clicks, pages viewed, time spent on pages, and the date and time of requests. This also includes information about your interaction with advertisements shown to you (e.g., views, clicks).
4. Status Information: This includes the status of permissions you have granted to the App and the application's release status in the Google Play Store.
5. Communications Data (Voluntarily Provided)
When you voluntarily contact us for customer support or to provide feedback, we collect your email address and the content of your communications. This data is used exclusively to respond to your inquiries.
We only process your Personal Data for specific, legitimate purposes and ensure we have a valid legal basis for doing so under applicable data protection laws like the GDPR.
