Get involved and have fun with a purpose.
Mens Shed -a place to pursue practical interests at leisure, to practice skills and enjoy making and mending. Garden sheds and their activities are often solitary in nature while Men’s Sheds are the opposite. They’re about social connections and friendship building, sharing skills and knowledge, and of course a lot of laughter. Haverhill shed has over 30 members and wishes to recruit more.
Men and Women over 18 are welcome,
The overall mission is to reduce isolation / lonelyness / suicide.
We have a Public health fund to support our outreach to 8 Miles from Haverhill we make and have fun with traditional fayre games (with a twist)
We do not sell products / services (to fund what we do) - this is aimed at full inclusivity of members regardless of socioeconomic position skill levels, loneliness and suicide can affect us all.

OPEN SATURDAYS 10 - 2 (AT THE MOMENT) AS WE ARE USING THE CENTRE PREMESIS WHEN EMPTY
Pringle Group / Community action Suffolk / The centre Training workshops have come together to start a Haverhill Shed with a grant of £1000 from West Suffolk Community Restart Fund (post COVID) / Premises to use / Town Council Support / Community Action Suffolk helping with legal etc.

As a new group it is important to get things like insurance correct. Tim Lardon at Ladbrook Insurance helped guide us through to getting the right policy for us now and as we grow. He knew stuff about sheds that I wasn't aware of. They insure over 100 Sheds in the UK -
