Privacy Policy for Haven

Haven is a local-first app for saving, organising, and revisiting links, posts, videos, and other online content.
Information stored on your device
Haven stores the links you save, together with information such as titles, creator names, preview images, tags, notes, favourites, categories, and app preferences. This information is stored locally on your device. Haven does not require an account and does not operate a Haven cloud service that stores your library.
How saved links are handled
When you save or open a link, Haven may connect directly to the linked website or its public metadata service to retrieve information such as the page title, creator, description, thumbnail, or embedded preview. This can include services such as Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, Spotify, LinkedIn, and the website connected to the link. Those services handle data according to their own privacy policies.
Haven does not sell your personal information, use advertising SDKs, or use third-party analytics or crash-tracking services.
Optional permissions
Camera: Haven requests camera access only when you choose to scan a QR code to pair another Haven device.
Notifications: Haven requests notification permission only to send reminders that you choose to enable.
Local network: Haven may use your local Wi-Fi network only when you choose to pair and share saved links with another Haven device. This sharing happens directly between the devices you pair.
Backups and deletion
You control your saved content. You can remove individual saves within Haven at any time. You can also delete Haven’s local data by clearing the app’s storage or uninstalling the app. If you create a backup, it is saved only to the location you choose; Haven does not upload backups to its own servers.
Security
Haven is designed to keep your library on your device. Connections to linked services are made using their available web connections. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and third-party websites are governed by their own security practices.
Children
Haven is not designed for children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if Haven’s features or data practices change. The current version will always be available on this page.
