HAVAN DUO
'the intimate sound' 

When hearing Ruben Van Hijfte's fretless bass and my unique guitar tuning, its hard to escape hearing the echoes of the collaboration between Joni Mitchell and Jaco Pastorius on Hejira ('76). Our intimate 'HAVAN DUO' is the result of an encounter of two like-minded people whilst studying music at the conservatory in Ghent that grew into a unique musical expression over the years. As a duo we have managed to share special moments in numerous living room concerts, played live at The Rua Room, and demanded the attention of several bars and open mics like 'Het Depot' (Leuven). 

Our duo has ocassionally been accompanied by percussionist Oya Bakiroglu (Ikaro, Anemoon).
