The new chairs and tables are all here. The old chairs are at an auction house waiting to be sold.
There are 2 churches waiting on a church van. One in Texas and one in Virginia. They are sending more information to Brother Mark.
The church parsonage has had to have some work done on it. There were repairs done to the ceiling fan and the sewer and a new kitchen stove was purchased.
How money is taken out and put into of each account was discussed. Brother David said we needed to look at how we divide the money up. Now, 60% of all income goes into the general fund, 37% into the missions fund, and 3% to everything else.. The percentages need to be reevaluated and updated. Brother David suggested we form a committee with Sister Amy and see what is needed and then make a suggestion to the church body. Then when we want to give we can see what is in the mission fund and not have to ask Amy what we can afford. We have monthly mission works and salaries we need to accommodate. Sister Cheryl asked when a mission is considered self sufficient. Sometimes the missions are doing better than we are with attendance and collections. Brother Mark said a missionary can be on full state or national salary for 10 years. After 10 years it reduces by 10% each year. The sending church and mission decide when it is done. When the 2 separate then it is done. Brother Mark said he guesses the Church in Indiana will be organized withing a year to a year and a half. Brother David moved to reevaluate what goes into each budget category along with Sister Amy and Brother Roach. Brother Chuck seconded and the motion carried.
Brother Chuck moved for Brother Mark, Brother David, Sister Amy, and Brother Roach form the committee. Brother Marlon seconded and the motion carried.
Brother David said Judy Platek moved back to the Catholic Church so she should be removed from our church roll. Sister Judy asked to be removed. Brother Mark Howell seconded and the motion carried.
