Shri Gurubhyo Namaha:
The Morganville Sloka Class was started in November 2011 by Smt. Usha Saripella and Smt. Hema Murali. This was created with the like minded group of people looking for sloka classes for their kids. The initial structure of slokas (first year) was just to chant simple/ small slokas in front of the deities in Guruvayoorappan Temple. With the support and encouragement by Temple Management and all the parents , the classes grew from their beginner level to 8 levels adding more complex slokas at each level.
The best part of the sloka class, the kids memorize all the slokas and chant them during the Religious events or during cultural events happening in the temple. This is purely with the blessings of Lord Guruvayoorappan and the constant motivation by the parents.
2021 embarks the 10th year of sloka class with over 100 students. COVID opened up the opportunity to students who live farther from the temple and other states.
2023 One more teacher/parent Sri. Ashok Rajaram joined the Sloka class teachers group.
Post covid - 2023 we are planning to open the classes in-person for kids who can come in-person and offer the same class online at the same time via google-classroom. Google classroom links are available in the links page of this website.
