Multimedia Broadcast

Over the past 4 years, I have learned that using Instagram as our news outlet opposed to other websites or apps is more effective for our student body because it generates more views and interactions with students

Campaign Videos

In the spring of 2021, I worked with Brian Hyneman on his campaign for City of Oxford Alderman. I filmed and edited campaign videos and posted flyers on @hynemanforalderman3 Instagram account. By creating a professional and consistent social media presence, Brian won the Alderman election and currently serves as Alderman for Ward 3.

I created a campaign video for my Student Body President election. I posted the video to my personal social media accounts during the election period. I ended up winning the election and now serve as Student Body President this school year.

Commercials

One of my favorite parts of broadcast this year has been creating commercials for local businesses around Oxford. We air these commericals in our productions and live-stream events.

Feature Stories

I take pride in delivering interesting and relevant feature stories to our student audience.

Homecoming for MSPA.mp4

Spotlighting student achievements and activities is not only important for our student body to see, but also for the student themself to see thier accomplishments on screen.

Entertainment features are always a hit with our viewers. A classmate and I were filmed going through our local police department haunted house in our Halloween episode.

Documentary

My best and most favorite piece I've done is a documentary of my school's basketball team's trip to Washington D.C.. A fellow broadcast crew member and I travelled with the team for a week, documenting their travels through our nation's capitol and recording their competition in a tournament. The documentary currently has 1,200 views.

PSA

Over the Covid-19 pandemic, I led a broadcast crew in filming, editing, and publishing a PSA from our football team urging students to wear masks properly during a time of case outbreak in Oxford.
