I'm Hassan Banaruee!

I have degrees in Applied Linguistics, Teaching English as a Foreign/Second Language, Economics, and Educational Psychology.

I find myself an educational psychologist, an applied/cognitive linguist, a psycholinguist, and a teacher educator.

In my current project at the University of Education of Weingarten, Germany, I study the effects of teacher humor in the classroom. I have to admit that I find myself delving into the charm of language and cognition, particularly in comprehension and mental representations. Cross-cultural investigations of metaphors and cognitive linguistic systems feed my thoughts. I have a dream and feel highly motivated to contribute to the development of science.

My research interests in educational psychology are teacher humor in the classroom, academic emotions, and instructional quality. My interests in psycholinguistics are embodied language/cognition, metaphor comprehension, cognitive processing, mental representation, valence, and motion events. My cognitive linguistic interests are motion events, and frame of reference!

My research interest in TEFL/TESL/TESOL are learning and cognitive styles, teaching skills, error correction, psychological aspects of classroom management, and curriculum design and material development.
