I was born and raised in Bangladesh and came to the U.S.A. to pursue my undergraduate education at Bard College. After Bard, I attended Indiana University to pursue my doctoral work in economics and subsequently joined the faculty in the economics department at Xavier University in Cincinnati. I have been teaching at Xavier University since then. During the 2017-18 academic year, I was a visiting faculty at the City College of New York.
