The Smart Energy and Resilience Analytics Lab (SERA Lab) at KFUPM focuses on advancing data-driven solutions to enhance the resilience and reliability of energy and networked systems. The lab leverages state-of-the-art analytics, machine learning, and optimization to tackle critical challenges, including:
Strengthening the resilience of networked systems against disruptions such as cyberattacks, natural disasters, and operational failures.
Developing predictive and adaptive frameworks for interconnected energy systems, including renewable energy and electric vehicle integration.
Optimizing smart energy systems through data-driven decision-making and advanced modeling.

Mr. Saheed Afolabi is a PhD student at the Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) Department at KFUPM and working at the SERA Lab.
Ahmed Elasim Elhaj
Masters Student
Mr. Ahmed Elasim Elhaj is a Master's student at the Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) Department at KFUPM. He has over five years of experience as a mechanical engineer, specializing in operations management, quality improvement, process optimization, and project coordination. With expertise in product design, QHSE standards, and Oil and Gas projects, he combines technical knowledge with strong problem-solving skills. Ahmed is passionate about enhancing productivity and quality in engineering projects and aspires to achieve full professional accreditation and advance into project management roles.
