Chromecast.com Help

Recently I claimed the free chromecast and controller from Google and after setup, I always get stuck at This screen. Meanwhile, my phone shows This screen and the google home app tells me This. I've tried everything I can think of, it's as if my chromecast shuts down all connectivity while setting up. Has anyone else run into this problem? Or knows how to fix it? The google help screens are no use.
