JB (June Bug) 🐞🌻🪲
JB, lovingly known as June Bug, is a 19-year-old bay Quarter Horse mare who has spent her entire life as a pasture horse on the ranch where she was born. Until the day she came to us with Fritz, she had never been on a trailer, making her journey to the ranch a huge and brave first step into a brand-new world.
Despite all the changes, JB has shown herself to be curious, calm, and quietly observant. She is not yet halter trained, so her education will begin from the ground up. With patience, consistency, and kindness, we look forward to helping her build confidence and discover just how capable she truly is.
JB’s immediate care needs that we are addressing including a full veterinary exam, dental float, hoof trim, vaccinations, and foundational training. We are excited to give her the time and support she needs to grow into the amazing horse we already know she is. June Bug’s next chapter is just beginning, and we’re honored to be part of her journey 💛
Fritz 💙🌀🩵
Fritz is a 24-year-old Blue Roan Appendix mare (Quarter Horse/Thoroughbred cross) who made the long journey to us alongside JB. She has spent most of her life as a pasture horse and is halter trained, but human interaction has been limited. Right now, she is understandably shy and unsure of us, but beneath that uncertainty is a quiet intelligence and gentle presence that we’re excited to get to know in time.
Fritz has several immediate care needs that we are addressing, including a full veterinary exam, dental float, vaccinations, and farrier work. She has also been wearing the same halter continuously for the past three years. We suspect she may have caught the halter on a fence at some point and injured herself while trying to get free, which has caused a noticeable kink in her neck. Our veterinarian will carefully evaluate her neck to determine what, if anything, can be done to improve her comfort and mobility.
Looking ahead, Fritz will likely be adopted out as a pasture companion, where she can enjoy a peaceful life. We anticipate she will be placed with her incoming friend, Wednesday, so they can continue their journey together. Fritz’s story is just beginning here, and we are committed to giving her the care, patience, and dignity she deserves.
Pheonix ❤️🔥🔥🐴
Phoenix (formerly Indy) is a senior Arabian mare whose name reflects her quiet strength and resilience. After enduring significant hardship, Phoenix arrived severely malnourished, weak, and exhausted, but despite everything she has been through, her spirit remains gentle and intact.
She is exceptionally kind, trusting, and soft-natured, with a calm presence that speaks to her beautiful soul. Phoenix is the type of horse who meets people with quiet grace, asking only for patience and care in return. She is deserving of comfort, dignity, and the chance to regain her health in her golden years.
Phoenix is in immediate need of supportive care to begin her recovery, including a full dental exam and float ($275) to help her properly chew and absorb nutrients. She requires senior feed and weight gainer to safely rebuild her body condition, quality hay, and corrective farrier work ($60 per trim) to support her weakened body and improve her comfort.
With consistent nutrition, medical attention, and compassionate care, Phoenix has the potential to continue her journey of healing, rising once again with the care and love she so deeply deserves.
Baby Governor 🤠💙⭐
Fostered with Baby Ruby!!
Baby Governor was brought into our rescue along with Baby Ruby. The owner did not have adequate fencing for them and they were getting loose. Rather than deal with fixing the fencing, or the fines from them getting loose, they planned to shoot them and eat them. We brought them home to save their lives. Governor didn't even have a name, and was a stallion. He was emaciated and completely neglected. We immediately vaccinated, dewormed, blanketed and started feeding him. A few weeks later he was gelded. We later found out through DNA testing he is a Mustang, and at his dental exam, that he is only 2 and a half years old! This poor baby has been through it all! He has undergone 30 days of ground training where his trainer said that he is incredibly bright and vocal, and that he will make an excellent obstacle, western dressage, or trail horse when he is old enough to start under saddle.

Mr. Sir is a sorrel and white tobiano 4 year old mini gelding with two blue eyes. He is Helen's baby and is also bonded to Patches who is his half-sister. 🐴❤️Reba🐴❤️
Fostered!!!!
🐴❤️ Reba (formerly Ruby) is a deeply loved 16-year-old off-the-track, 16.3-hand thoroughbred mare whose owner wanted the very best for her but could no longer provide the level of care she needs. They made the difficult decision to home her with us so that she can begin a new story. Now that she's with us, we're helping her begin a gentle rehabilitation journey. 💕 Since joining us, she has had a much-needed corrective hoof trim from our skilled farrier, as well as a dental exam and float so that she can walk and eat comfortably. She will be able to start putting on muscle and gaining the weight she needs to stay warm during the upcoming winter months.
