TALL AND TALENTED

LEARN TO ROW

Within the Gloucestershire Performance Development Academy, we offer a Tall and Talented Learn to Row Programme, designed for individuals seeking to engage in the sport, and aiming to achieve a high-performance level, but lacking the accessibility and resources which are available at Hartpury University and College. Geared towards individuals aged 14+, the Learn to Row programme works alongside our Racer Programme. Outlined below are some criteria which we require to take part in the Tall and Talented Learn to Row.

For individuals aged 16 and above we utilise the criteria outlined by British Rowing. Given that Hartpury functions as a British Rowing Performance Development Academy we rely on these guidelines to guarantee the requirement of tall individuals with potential to grow in the sport.

The criteria is based on height and aerobic fitness, through a series of test which we run, this determines your suitability for the Gloucestershire Performance Development Pathway Programme.

For individuals aged 14 and 15 we follow a similar criteria for the 16+, as stated above, however due to the age we offer some leniency.
