Students may submit upto 5 ideas for themes by Sept 1, 2023
California theme idea winners will be forwarded to National PTA for consideration. The student who submits the winning entry will receive a $100 prize.
The 2025-2026 theme search will open in the summer of 2023. California State PTA will submit five student-created themes to National PTA for review and consideration. Sign up for our newsletter or follow us on social media to be notified as soon as the contest opens.
Congratulations to the five California student finalists listed below for their state-level winning entries in the 2024-25 PTA Reflections theme search. The California finalists’ themes will advance to the National PTA Reflections level for consideration. The five Reflections themes chosen to be considered by National PTA for the 2024-25 year are:
“The Future Holds for Me…” from Aanjuli Das, Grade 9, Peralta District PTA
“ My Journey Begins…” from Amanda Lai, Grade 10, Peralta District PTA
“Look Beyond…” from Ayush Garg, Grade 8, Sixth District PTA
“A Gift I Would Give The World…” from James Pierce, Grade 11, Twenty-First District PTA
“When I Look At It The Other Way…” from Nicolas Ortega, Grade 7, Twelfth District

The theme selected by National PTA for 2023-2024 is ““I am Hopeful Because…”
That’s the theme for the 2023-24 Reflections Art Program, which has been bringing the arts to life for more than 10 million students since 1969. California State PTA and its members, families and kids are on the forefront of this amazing program, which increases community awareness of the importance of arts in education.
Reflections encourages students of all ages to:
Unleash creative talents and be inspired
Express themselves imaginatively in their artwork
Experience the fun and joy of making art
Tap into critical thinking skills to create art inspired by the annual theme
Receive positive recognition for their original works of art.
