Our journey began in 2017 with a powerful question posed to the Pondok Jaya community: “If a crisis occurs and money is no longer valuable, what will we cook and eat?” This simple prompt sparked years of action research, revealing a wealth of neglected resources in urban villages—from edible plants to traditional culinary skills.
We dedicated ourselves to mapping over 100-200 local edible plant species, forming the foundation of our proven four-step model. This model empowers communities by providing the knowledge and skills needed to identify, care for, and utilize these resources.
Today, this work has evolved into a social enterprise built on a co-op principle approach, working closely with urban communities. Through this, we continue to rebuild the food resilience of urban communities, proving that a sustainable, green future is within reach and rooted in the wisdom of our own kitchen yards.
We believe that by celebrating what we have, we can create a resilient and prosperous community for everyone.
