VISUAL PHOTOGRAPHER AND STORYTELLER

HELLO, I'M HARSHITA MER

I'm an artist working primarily with photography and storytelling. 

Memory is a strange thing and photographs are not timeless; they are a memorialisation of our past.  Photography for me is a meditation on acceptance of who we are. It is a peephole into the lived times, a search for the abandoned spaces. What i aim to capture through photography is not just a photo but more of an emotion, emotions that maybe not every human has experienced but can feel nonetheless through art made from the very lens of those feelings. 

I wonder if one should have an ulterior motive while creating something. But god i hope that i'm able to find myself in this process. I hope through photography and storytelling I'm able to put out my mind and my emotions on the stage for the viewers to witness, that I'm able to free myself of these emotions. 

I intend to expand my practice further by learning and delving deeper into documentary photography and filmmaking.
