As my City Councilor, I hope that you’ll take action to end worker’s retirement funds being used to further the brutality that Trump and Netanyahu are carrying out, and to publicly call an end to the Sister City relationship with Eilat, Israel.
I recommend that both issues be put on a City Council meeting agenda in the very near future.
The military forces of the US and Israel are spreading terror from Gaza to Tehran and from Lebanon to Iraq, taking so many lives - including 180 innocent schoolgirls targeted by the US military. The combined military assault is destroying industry, infrastructure, agriculture and hospitals. With the genocidal assault on Gaza already taking many tens of thousands of lives and unparalleled destruction, this brutal period will go down in history as one of the most destructive in recent history.
The US Congress was completely bypassed by the Trump Administration in the decision to carry out the war on Iran and people throughout the US are trying every available means to bring this horrible chapter to a close.
It has come to my attention that funds for retired Los Angeles city workers, firefighters and police are being invested in Israeli firms – many of them directly and indirectly involved in the genocide in Gaza and now funding an assault on Iran that brings us to the brink of WWIII. Both funds – LACERS and LAFFPP are being used in this manner.
Further, Los Angeles has a Sister City relationship with Eilat, a city on the Red Sea Coast that hosts the headquarters of a large IDF naval base.
Los Angeles should make history as a city that stood up against illegal war and destruction, and not a city that enabled genocide and the murder of children, women, aged people, and men.

The city of Los Angeles needs to sever all ties with the genocidal entity that occupies Palestine.
L.A. has a sister city relationship with a Red Sea coast city called Eilat. Eilat is headquarters to the Zionist military's Red Sea coast navy base. That base is where they have fired missiles at Yemen from.
The city government also allows billions of dollars (That's not a typo - we mean billions with a B!) of retired city workers pension funds to be invested in Israeli military stocks.

The mayor's office appoints the majority of the board of directors of three different retirees' pension funds, while city workers and retirees have very little say in the matter. We're focusing for the time being on the LACERS fund - valued above $25 billion.
