Public Finances Specialist
About me:
Ph.D. in economics and international development from the University of Clermont Auvergne (France).
Given the multiple challenges faced by most governments in resource-rich countries to mobilize substantial revenues and make efficient expenditures supporting sustainable development, my thesis entitled “Political Economy of Extractive Industries Governance, and Sustainable Development Finance.” My research interests include extractive industries, transparency (EITI), fiscal policy, domestic revenue mobilization (DRM), efficiency in public spending, financial development, environmental policy, metals for energy transition, inequality, and developing economies.
I worked as a research assistant, consultant, and research fellow at UNU-WIDER, the Foundation for International Development Studies and Research (Ferdi), the International Monetary Fund (FIP-2021), the French Development Agency (AFD), and the African Development Bank Group (AfDB). I have an extensive academic background in public finance, impact evaluation, econometrics, and statistics.
My work has been published in various journals, including World Development, Resources Policy. I have also served as the referee of different journals such as World Development, Resources Policy; The Extractive Industries and Society; Revue d’Économie du Développement; Applied Economics.
