We initiated the idea of a community cabaret show a few years ago during a collaboration with the Pear Theatre in Mountain View. We produced a regular cabaret show for 3 1/2 years and truly enjoyed bringing music to this stage. These were primarily singing performances and the previous shows all had a theme of some kind. From Broadway classics, Yacht Rock, Disney, Music from Films and of course a 1940's Big Band Revue (plus quite a few more.)
We are now launching the San Jose Community Cabaret Show and have a locked date for our first show - Jan 24th, 2026 - at the Willow Glen Community Center with not one, but two amazing shows.
3pm Show for Seniors and families - specially discounted show (approx 1hr 20 minutes - ten min intermission)
7pm Show - Our full Big Band Radio Show (approx 1hr 45 mins - fifteen min intermission)

You will find a list of songs to choose from, more info on the virtual audition process HERE.
In short, we require each person wishing to audition to record a 90 second clip and send it in for review. Songs should be from the Big Band era or off of the already approved list. All auditions are due by Dec 22nd, 2025 at midnight. Late auditions will not be accepted.
All performers are volunteers, but will be provided with a pair of complimentary passes to be used for either show, onsite dinner provided by Harmony Werks and a $25 stipend to help with travel expenses.
