We initiated the idea of a community cabaret show a few years ago during a collaboration with the Pear Theatre in Mountain View. We produced a regular cabaret show for 3 1/2 years and truly enjoyed bringing music to this stage. These were primarily singing performances and the previous shows all had a theme of some kind. From Broadway classics, Yacht Rock, Disney, Music from Films and of course a 1940's Big Band Revue (plus quite a few more.)
We have launched the San Jose Community Cabaret Show and have had two successful shows, one in Jan and another this past May.

You will find a list of songs to choose from, more info on the virtual audition process HERE.
In short, we require each person wishing to audition to record a 90 second video clip and send it in for review. Songs should conform to the theme for each show, the Jan show was from the Big Band era and the one in May was a Broadway themed show.
All performers are volunteers, but will be provided with a pair of complimentary passes to be used for either show, onsite dinner provided by Harmony Werks.
